Overview:The study aims to comprehensively identify all sacred groves located both inside and outside the Reserved Forest Boundary in Tamil Nadu. It seeks to delineate the boundaries of these sacred groves and develop a detailed spatial database encompassing their geographic locations. Additionally, the study will identify the challenges impeding the protection and growth of each sacred grove. Furthermore, it aims to raise awareness within the community about the significance and uses of sacred groves, promoting their conservation and sustainable management.
